SHINE A LIGHT

A Free Online Candlelight Gathering

As the clocks go back, we come together

Sunday 25th October | 7pm UK time

All Welcome | Women, Men & Families

When did feeling safe become something we have to fight for?

In a few days, the clocks go back. The evenings grow darker, and for so many women, that means changing the routes we walk, the places we go and the choices we make. Not because we want to. Because we don’t feel safe.

And somehow, this has become normal.

But it isn’t just about walking home in the dark. It’s abotu fear, violence, hatred and division that have become a part of our everyday lives.

I don't have all the answers. But I believe the way forward begins with us.

With connection. With listening. With courageous conversations. With recognising that creating safer communities is a responsibility we all share.

So I’m inviting you to join me.

A candlit gathering of remembrance, connection and solidarity. To acknowledge what we’re feeling. To remember those affected or lost to violence. To know we are not alone and to hold onto the possibility that things can be different.

Booking is essential. The joining link will be emailed before the gathering.

We find our way forward together.

Shine a Light is a community outreach project created by Sacred Sister CIC, a movement bringing women together to reconnect with themselves, one another and the wisdom they carry, and to become part of the change they want to see in the world.

She is Me. She is You. She is We.
