Why Circle? Remembering What We Lost, and What We’re Ready to Rebuild

I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to sit together.

Not online, not in a rush, not as another appointment in the diary — but really sit.

To soften the edges of our days, pour the tea, and breathe into that deep remembering that says, “I’ve been here before.”

Because the truth is… you have.

Somewhere in your bones, there’s an ancient memory of the circle — of women gathering around the fire, of hands weaving baskets and stories in equal measure, of laughter carrying through the night air.

Before we had titles, systems, or programs… we had each other.
And somehow, we forgot.

The Loss

There’s a quiet grief that runs through so many of us — a longing for something we can’t quite name.
We feel it in the scroll for connection that never satisfies.
We feel it when we silence ourselves to stay safe.
We feel it when we miss the way women used to belong to one another.

It’s not that we don’t want connection.
It’s that we don’t always trust it.

Generations of competition, comparison, and cultural conditioning have built walls where once there were circles.

And yet… the memory remains.
The body never forgets what it feels like to be witnessed in love.

The Return

I believe we are in a time of remembering.
Women are gathering again — in living rooms, in studios, in forests, online — lighting candles, telling the truth, coming home to one another.

It doesn’t look perfect.
It doesn’t need to.

What matters is the intention.
The pause.
The willingness to show up — as you are, not as who you think you should be.

That’s the heartbeat of the circle.

It’s not about being spiritual or wise.
It’s about being real.

The Invitation

Maybe you’ve been feeling that pull — the desire to gather, to connect, to be part of something deeper.

Maybe you’ve thought about creating a space for women in your community, but the fear whispers, “What if no one comes?”

Here’s what I know:
The moment you light that candle, something begins.
Spirit moves.

Energy gathers.
Even if you sit alone the first time, you’re never truly alone.

You’re joining a lineage of women who’ve done exactly that —
Lit the fire, opened the space, trusted the call.

Closing Whispers

The circle isn’t a concept to learn — it’s a way of being to remember.

It lives in the way we listen.
In how we show up for one another.

In how we soften and begin again.

This is how we rebuild the village.
One woman, one story, one circle at a time.
