In the busyness of life, it’s easy to lose touch with yourself—your dreams, desires, and even your inner peace. The demands of the day can pull you in every direction, leaving little time to reconnect with the most important person in your life: you. But what if there was a way to bring love, joy, and alignment into every day? A way to cultivate a deeper relationship with yourself through a powerful daily practice?

When I was a single mum with young children morning were an utter nightmare. I used to wake up tired after trying to work hard in the evenings to get ahead of the game. Not just with work, but with the household chores, lunchboxes, uniforms… and hope that, fingers crossed, everyone would wake up in a good mood and all would flow beautifully.

I realised that how I woke up was how my day rolled on. When I was heavily involved with network marketing, I spent time working with some amazing friends from the USA. They were always so inspiring: awake, connected, energised, and full of life. I asked what their secret was. Sure, the sun probably made a difference, but it became clear that this whole community I was working with woke early, prioritised time for themselves, and made intentional plans for their lives.

So, I gave it a go. I tried many different ideas of what a daily practice might look like: yoga, gym sessions, running, art, even preparing dinner mindfully for later. I explored it all. But I recognised that I was looking for something different—a collaboration of all the things I had read, shared, and tried that truly resonated with me. Over time, I found a practice that fit my life and brought me the balance and joy I was searching for.

As I leaned into this practice, I began encouraging others to join me: my team, my school mum friends, my clients, my online community. What I noticed was transformative. Those who truly embraced waking early and giving themselves this sacred space—a time to listen deeply and reconnect—saw incredible shifts in their lives. It showed me that getting up an hour earlier every day wasn’t just worth it; it was life-changing.

What is EVOLVE?

The EVOLVE practice is a daily ritual that invites you to:

EEmbrace the Silence. Begin your day with mindfulness, allowing yourself to be fully present. Whether it’s through a few deep breaths, a grounding meditation, or simply savouring your morning cup of tea, this is your time to set the tone for the day.

VVisualisation. Take a few moments to envision how you want your day to unfold. What would bring you joy? How do you want to feel? Visualisation helps you align your energy with your goals and opens the door to possibility.

OOnly with Love (Affirmation). Gratitude is a powerful practice that shifts your focus from what’s lacking to what’s abundant. Reflect on three things you’re grateful for and allow the feeling of appreciation to expand in your heart. Use loving affirmations such as: I am love, I am deserving of joy, or I radiate kindness.

LLove to Write (Journaling). Journaling is a wonderful way to connect with your thoughts, feelings, and intuition. Ask yourself, What do I need today? or What is my heart calling me to do? Then write freely, letting your inner voice guide you.

VVery Good Read (Inspirational Reading). Dedicate a few moments to reading something uplifting and inspirational. Whether it’s a poem, a quote, or a chapter from a book, let the words nurture your soul and fuel your day with positivity.

EExercise (E-Motion – Energy in Motion). Move your body in a way that feels good to you. It could be yoga, dancing, walking, or any activity that gets your energy flowing and connects you to your physical self.
