Final Shedding: Before the Fire Horse, We Come Home

Today is Friday the 13th.

For centuries, both the number 13 and the snake have been feared.

But neither were originally symbols of darkness.

Thirteen is the number of lunar cycles in a year.
The rhythm of women’s bodies.
The rhythm of life, death, and renewal.

The snake has long represented wisdom, healing, fertility, and transformation.

And yet both were rewritten as dangerous.

Feared.

Demonised.

Just as women were.

This is not coincidence.

Throughout history, feminine power has been dismissed, softened, silenced — or labelled irrational.

The same way women were shut down, sacred symbols were too.

The Final Shedding of the Snake

We are in the final days of the Year of the Snake.

Snake energy strips illusion.

It reveals what has been hidden.

It brings old wounds to the surface.

If this year has felt exposing… destabilising… confronting…

It is not because something is wrong.

It is because you are shedding.

Shedding old identities.
Old beliefs.
Old coping strategies.
Old “I’m not enough” stories.

Shedding is not glamorous.

It is raw.

And the final days before transition are often sticky.

The skin is loose.

But not fully gone.

You know you’ve outgrown something.

But you haven’t fully stepped into the new.

Threshold moments can feel uncomfortable.

Tender.

Uncertain.

Preparing for Fire Horse

On the 17th, we move into the Year of the Fire Horse.

Fire Horse energy is movement.
Momentum.
Courage.
Action.

But movement without clarity creates chaos.

So before the 17th, we prepare.

Clean your doors.

Wash your thresholds.

Clear your floors.

Declutter your home.

Let stagnant energy move.

Throw away broken things.

Open windows.

Set intentions.

Write down what you are shedding.

Burn it safely.

Fire Horse moves forward.

But she does not carry the debris of the past.

Collective Grief

There is something else in the air right now.

A heaviness.

A collective grief.

The world feels fractured.

Systems cracking.

Division rising.

And many women feel it deeply.

We feel it in our bodies.
In our sleep.
In our nervous systems.

The instinct can be to fight harder.

To argue louder.

To match chaos with chaos.

But we cannot fight fight with fight.

We cannot shout our way into coherence.

We must come home.

Inwards.

Back to the heart.

Back to deeper knowing.

Back to embodied wisdom.

Heart Coherence & Voice

When women regulate their nervous systems…
When we breathe together…
When we drop into heart coherence…

We change the field.

This is not poetic language.

This is physiological.

The heart generates a measurable electromagnetic field.

When groups regulate together, something shifts.

And this is why voice matters.

Voice is vibration.

Voice is frequency.

Voice carries intention.

This is why One Voice Rising arrived in my heart this week.

Not strategically.

But instinctively.

Because now is not the time to isolate.

Now is not the time to withdraw.

Now is the time to gather.

In kitchens.

In living rooms.

On beaches.

In halls.

And at a moment in the afternoon…

To join together.

To breathe.

To regulate.

To sing the same song across the world.

Not to fight.

But to harmonise.

From Dismissed to Rising

For centuries women were dismissed.

Silenced.

Labelled emotional.

Dangerous.

Hysterical.

Just as the number 13 was feared.

Just as the snake was demonised.

But what was actually being suppressed was power.

Wisdom.

Cyclical knowing.

Embodied leadership.

The Snake year has stripped illusion.

The Fire Horse will move us forward.

But only if we move from coherence.

Only if we move from rooted foundations.

Only if we move together.

So before the 17th comes around:

What skin are you still wearing?
What story are you still obeying?
What belief was never yours to begin with?

Clear it.
Burn it.
Breathe.

And then we rise.

Not in chaos.

In coherence.

Not alone.

Together.

This weeks podcast, is a real sense of this, it’s just me, and my thoughts, musing over this powerful time.
