You Don’t Need a Permission Slip, Sister
There’s a moment — just before the YES —
when everything in your body knows you want it.
To show up.
To say yes.
To join the circle.
To be seen.
But then… the voice arrives.
“Can I really?”
“Will I fit in?”
“What if I’m too much… or not enough?”
“What will they think?”
“Maybe I need to ask first…”
And just like that, we shrink.
We fold ourselves into smaller shapes.
We wait.
We check in with others instead of ourselves.
We let the YES dim to a maybe.
Sister — this moment isn’t about the Gathering.
It’s about the wound underneath.
Where Are You Still Shrinking?
So many of us carry stories that tell us to ask for permission.
To not speak too loudly.
To keep our power wrapped up in politeness.
It’s not your fault. It’s what we’ve learned:
The Mother Wound says: Be nice. Be agreeable. Don’t upset anyone.
The Father Wound says: Earn it. Prove it. Be perfect.
The Sister Wound whispers: Don’t trust other women — they’ll hurt you.
The Witch Wound warns: If you’re powerful, visible, or different… you’ll be punished.
No wonder it’s scary to say YES to a space filled with other women.
No wonder your system feels unsure.
No wonder you want to check and double-check.
But what if your fear doesn’t mean stop — it means this matters?
What if saying YES isn’t about being ready…
but about being real?
Sacred Space Isn’t for the Perfect — It’s for the Honest
When I created the Sacred Sister Gathering, it wasn’t for women who had it all together.
It was for the messy ones. The sacred ones. The real ones.
The ones who’ve been hurt.
Who’ve doubted themselves.
Who’ve been too scared to walk into the room before.
It was for us.
For the women who are done shrinking.
Who are ready to remember.
Who are choosing to live from their scars, not keep waggling their fingers in the wound.
Because let’s be honest — healing doesn’t mean having it all sorted.
It means being willing to show up with your whole heart.
And if a part of you is whispering YES…
Sister, trust her.
You don’t need a permission slip.
You just need to listen to the part of you that already knows.
A Little Invitation for Reflection
Take a moment to check in with yourself.
Maybe grab a journal, or sit somewhere quiet, and let these prompts stir something deeper:
Where in my life am I still waiting for permission to be fully myself?
What does my YES feel like in my body?
What would it mean to walk into a field of women and trust that I belong?
You don’t have to have the answers.
But letting yourself ask the questions? That’s where the magic begins.
If You're Waiting for a Sign — This Is It
If you’ve been hovering near the edge of the Sacred Sister Summer Gathering… wondering if it’s for you…
Let this be the moment you trust the YES inside you.
We’re gathering in circle, in wildness, in sacred remembrance.
And there is space for you.
No matter where you are on the journey.
Not because you’ve earned it.
But because you’re a woman.
Because your presence matters.
Because you are enough.
So take the leap, sister.
Say YES to you.
Say YES to the Gathering.
You don’t need anyone else’s permission to rise.
You already belong.
